Oriental Elixir began as an experiment between the people behind Tanglin Gin and The Spiffy Dapper. The tiny gin bar is now hidden inside The Spiffy Dapper on River Valley Road, with its bell jars, Asian flavours, and instinct for the unexpected intact.
There is no right way to order. Tell the bartender what you like, choose from the cabinet, or ask to be surprised. Every drink starts as a conversation.

The Elixirs
A laboratory of bell jars and bartenders.
We sit Tanglin gin with whatever the season conspires to offer — sometimes the cured, sometimes the floral, sometimes the unspeakable. Pick a flavour family. The bartender builds the rest around your palate. Current menu cocktails are S$30 nett.
Botanical
Pandan, kaffir lime, lemongrass, chrysanthemum.
Savoury
Goat cheese, cured duck, smoked tea, mushroom.
Sweet
Kumquat, roasted pineapple, fig leaf, palm sugar.
Spice
Cinnamon, black pepper, star anise, sichuan.
The jars rotate. The cocktail list is rebuilt every day. Whatever sits on the shelf tonight will not be on it tomorrow.
